The addition of such acrylic paint supplies retarders will delay the drying period of the paint. It usually delays the evaporation period of water from the paint and allows for more water to be added to the paint solution.

For oil paints, it uses the mineral spirits and turpentine to clean up the painting. Acrylic paint is considered to be more flexible and more constant in terms of its drying time between colors. The “fat over lean” method which is visible in many oil paints are avoid as you now have the chance to use and repaint the item without fear of having cracking results to the image.

To have painting as a hobby, you need to have the right supplies and knowledge about the type of paint that you will be using. Acrylic paint supplies include the most basic tools such as the acrylic paints, a palette knife for mixing of paints, a separate palette knife for mixing paint before placing in the canvas, paint brushes, medium gel, solvents, easel, and rags to wipe the paint off the brushes after every use.
